DISCOVERY
Dr. Charles Michel, an American ophthalmologist in St. Louis, Missouri discovered the concept of Electrolysis in 1869. The good Dr. was looking for a way to remove ingrown eyelash hair (trichiasis). Dr. Michel experimented with a fine wire attached to a battery.
Dr. Michel was the first to use the Galvanic method. His first scientific paper was published in 1875.
Little did Dr. Charles Michel know his simple invention would be perfected by modern technology, studied by career minded individuals in the field of Electrology and offered as a service to clients worldwide. His invention, enables Electrolysis to have the fine distinction of claiming to be the only proven permanent method hair removal.
